The Clarity System
Four tools for an ADHD / neurodivergent brain: dump it, sort it, and stop losing your place when you switch. Externalize the load so working memory isn't the bottleneck.
Four tools for a busy brain juggling too much at once: dump it, sort it, and stop losing your place between tasks. Get the load out of your head and onto the page.
Brain Dump → Priority Sorter
Dump everything, one thought per line. “Sort This” ranks by urgency words: today / urgent / ASAP / blocked / overdue → NOW · this week / need to / should / by Friday → SOON · eventually / someday / idea / maybe → LATER.
Working Memory Offload Prompt
Before any focused session, hand the context to your AI so your brain doesn't have to hold it. Fill these in; the prompt builds itself below.
The Context Switch Card
A printable index card with the full leaving/arriving ritual. Print it, or save as a PNG and tape it where you can see it.
The Workflow Vault · Context Switch Card
- Write one sentence: where am I in this?
- Write one sentence: what's the very next action when I return?
- Close everything from this task.
- Read your “next action” note from last time.
- Do only that one thing first.
- Resist opening the previous task's tabs.
The One-Page Daily Template
Fill it each morning; it auto-saves. Print a blank one any time with the button below.
Run this on autopilot: the Clarity Agent
Tired of filling this in by hand every day? Hand the whole routine to a Cowork agent. You give it a 2-minute voice brain-dump; it pulls your calendar, sorts NOW / SOON / LATER, drops the work into your real open windows, and writes a one-page plan to OUTPUTS/daily/. You get back one next action.
You are my Clarity Agent. Run my daily clarity routine in one pass. Before you start, read ABOUT ME/ (about-me.md, writing-style.md, my-life.md) plus DAILY-RULES.md and SCHEDULE.md. When I say "run my morning clarity" (or paste a brain dump): 1. Take my brain dump. If I didn't paste one, ask for it in one line, then wait. 2. Pull today from my Google Calendar if it's connected: meetings, appointments, blocked times. 3. Carry over anything unfinished from yesterday's file in OUTPUTS/daily/. 4. Sort every item into NOW (today / urgent / blocked), SOON (this week), LATER (someday). 5. Place the NOW items into my real open windows from SCHEDULE.md and my calendar. Never schedule over anything in DAILY-RULES.md. Keep blocks short and add buffers. 6. Pick today's ONE thing, and the "if everything collapses, I only need to" floor. 7. Write the result to OUTPUTS/daily/[today's date].md in the one-page daily format. 8. Tell me only the single first action. Hold the rest. Tone: calm, one action at a time. Do not hand me the whole list.
Set it up once
- Do the Module 3 Cowork setup first (the folder + your ABOUT ME files).
- Drop CLARITY-AGENT.md, DAILY-RULES.md, and SCHEDULE.md into the folder.
- Paste the system prompt above into a new Cowork agent (or the start of a session).
- Connect Google Calendar so it can see your real day (how to connect). Optional but powerful.
Run it each morning
- Open the agent and say: "run my morning clarity".
- Voice-dump everything in your head (Wispr Flow or built-in dictation).
- It writes today's plan to OUTPUTS/daily/ and hands you the first action.
Want it hands-off? Type /schedule in Cowork, paste "run my morning clarity", and set it to daily. Note: scheduled tasks only run while your computer is awake and the Claude app is open. If it was closed, Cowork runs it the next time you open the app.
This pairs with the Weekly Review Agent in Module 5: the daily files it writes are exactly what the weekly review reads, so the two feed each other.
